Inspired by exciting and emerging projects of the modern crypto art movement. The Cyber Chiq® project contains 99 collectible one-of-a-kind characters whose ownership will be recorded on the Ethereum blockchain and sold as NFTs. All individually created figurines are based on fashion and portrait photos by multimedia artist Likewolf.
All images were created with the use of analog photo technology. Subsequently, each motif has been converted into digital form and with the help of image processing programs transformed into indistinguishable contemporary works of art.
Once the images are published on the blockchain (around the beginning of June 2021), they are permanently embedded and thus remain immutable forever.
The emergence of NFTs can be compared to the punk rock movement of the 1970s. Only this time, the art scene, which had become dull and sterile for the most part, is being turned on its head.
Although any person can have a copy of the 99 Cyber Chiq® stored, their official ownership is recorded on the Ethereum blockchain. 99 Cyber Chiq® is a perfect example of the evolving digital art market and, at the same time, an exploration of the concept of "ownership" per se.
